Project Overview:
Colgate-Palmolive aimed to modernize and streamline their internal Business User Creation Process, which was previously handled through a minimal, non-compliant system lacking approvals and attribute tagging. The goal was to design and implement a robust, approval-based system fully integrated with their existing Freshservice ITSM & ITOM platform.
My Contribution:
• System Engineering & Architecture: Designed the complete flow from requirement gathering to implementation, ensuring scalability, approval routing, and attribute tagging.
• Freshservice Integration: Architected a seamless integration with Freshservice for managing request approvals, workflow triggers, and reporting.
• Client Engagement: Acted as the primary liaison with Colgate’s internal stakeholders, gathering requirements, refining them into system design, and converting business needs into technical deliverables.
• Implementation: Worked hands-on with the development team to build critical components, validate flows, and conduct UAT.
Impact:
• Reduced manual overhead and risk of compliance issues by introducing automated approvals and structured workflows.
• Improved visibility and control over business user creation via Freshservice-linked reports and attribute-based tagging.
• Delivered a scalable system aligned with Colgate’s enterprise IT governance policies.
